Important Update on Mandatory Grant Payments

Dear Valued Stakeholders,

The MICT SETA wishes to inform you of the ongoing challenges with the Skills Development Levy Information System (SDLIS). The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) have officially communicated these issues to all SETAs on 6 November 2024.

As a result of these challenges, DHET has been unable to provide SETAs with employer files required for the disbursement of Mandatory Grant refunds for Quarter 3. Consequently, the MICT SETA is currently unable to process the December 2024 Mandatory Grant payments to eligible employers.

Whilst the DHET has not yet provided further details on the resolutions being implemented, we will ensure that updates are shared with stakeholders as soon as information is made available.

We kindly request your patience and understanding during this time as the DHET works to resolve the SDLIS challenges. The MICT SETA remains committed to processing and disbursing payments to affected employers as soon as the system is operational and the necessary employer files are received.
