ACCREDITATION EXTENSION LETTERS AND ACCREDITATION VALIDITY FOR THE 32 HISTORICALLY REGISTERED QUALIFICATIONS FALLING UNDER THE SCOPE OF THE MEDIA & ICT SECTORS
Dear Skills Development Providers and Stakeholders,
 The Media Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA) wishes to inform all stakeholders and Skills Development Providers that, effective 03 November 2025, the SETA will no longer issue historical accreditation extension letters.
 All applications for extension letters received on or before 31 October 2025 will be processed and issued to Skills Development Providers by 01 December 2025.
 In line with Government Gazette No. 50742 dated 03 June 2024, this circular must be used by Skills Development Providers in conjunction with their current accreditation letter to demonstrate valid accreditation status for the 32 historically registered qualifications listed below. This communication applies only to the qualifications indicated.

- The last date of enrolment for these qualifications is 30 June 2026. Learners enrolled after this date will not be eligible for exit verification or certification.Â
- The last date of achievement for these qualifications is 30 June 2029. All learners must be internally assessed and moderated prior to this date to remain eligible for exit verification and certification.Â
- Skills Development Providers remain subject to unplanned provider monitoring visits by the SETA, and non-compliance will be processed in line with MICT SETA policies and governing legislative frameworks.Â
