Discretionary Grants Notice 25 May 2022

Dear Valued Stakeholder,

The MICT SETA would like to thank all Stakeholders who showed interest in the previous Discretionary Grant (DG) window that closed on 13 February 2022.

The MICT SETA is in the process of communicating the discretionary grant application outcomes to all stakeholders who have applied.

Stakeholders who have met the preliminary application criteria will be contacted for a site vetting exercise conducted by MICT SETA Advisors prior to 15 June 2022.

Should you not receive a site vetting invitation from the MICT SETA, please consider your application as unsuccessful.

Due to the large volume of applications received for each window, this necessitates the SETA to carefully consider the various learning programmes across all sub-sectors, nationally and particularly those that respond to the SETA mandate. Therefore, the MICT SETA may not be able to partner with all organisations that submit applications due to budget constraints.

The awarding of Discretionary Grant funding is at the discretion of the MICT SETA – the submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI) does not automatically imply receipt of grant funding.

Any further queries pertaining to discretionary grants can be submitted to dgqueries@mict.org.za.

The MICT SETA appreciates the active participation of all stakeholders in the sector in pursuit of empowering and equipping South Africans with the necessary skills for a demand-driven economy.

Regards,

MICT SETA
