Payment of Learner Stipends During the Festive Season

Dear Valued Stakeholders,

 The MICT SETA appreciates your continued collaboration in implementing our Skills Development Programmes. As we approach the festive season, we would like to emphasise the importance of ensuring the timely and regular payment of learner stipends.

We urge all stakeholders to ensure that payments are not disrupted during or after the holiday season. This practice is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the programmes and upholding our collective commitment to the development and empowerment of our learners.

Please note that the MICT SETA takes compliance with the terms and conditions of service level agreements (SLAs) very seriously. Failure to adhere to the agreed payment schedules will result in severe consequences, including:

  1. Blacklisting: Non-compliant stakeholders and directors will be blacklisted with the National Treasury, impacting their ability to conduct business with public entities.
  2. Legal Action: The MICT SETA will take legal steps to recover unpaid amounts owed to learners.
  3. Disqualification from future grants: Organisations found in violation of SLA terms will be disqualified from accessing future MICT SETA Discretionary Grants.

 

We trust that all stakeholders will prioritise the wellbeing of learners by ensuring the uninterrupted payment of stipends throughout the festive period and beyond.
