Organising Framework for Occupations

Organising Framework for Occupations: The Organising Framework for Occupations (OFO) is a standardized classification system used to categorise and describe all occupations in the labour market. It groups jobs based on similarity in tasks, skills, and knowledge, providing a common language for government, SETAs, education institutions, and employers. The OFO is used to identify skills shortages, develop qualifications, align training programmes to labour market needs, and support planning tools such as the Sector Skills Plans (SSPs) and the National Skills Development Plan (NSDP).
